PSY 2003 - Understanding Statistics |
Cannot be substituted for 2113. Prerequisite: Math 0123 or satisfactory score on math placement test. An introductory applied statistics course which will focus on descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Emphasis will be placed on in-class activities and homework which help the student learn by experience. Topics include measures of central tendency and variability, z-scores, normal distribution, correlation, regression, sampling distributions, hypotheses testing, t-tests and chi-square tests.
